Charleston

Charleston!  We are finally in this great historic city!  We have always wanted to visit here.  Today, we took a trip downtown to see all the historic antebellum homes.  We started out the day by parking by the Visitors Center to gather information.  They have free shuttles around town on their trolley.  So, we thought it would be best to start here, gather information and start walking.  We could always take a shuttle if grew tired of walking.

There are so many tours available to sign up for but we decided to walk and get a good overview of the city on this trip.  We enjoyed our walking up and close to the homes, especially on rainbow street and down by the bay.  Our lunch at Blind Tiger was a perfect place to stop and have a sandwich and cold beer and put our feet up.  Kayla our server was outstanding and very personable.  She did an outstanding job telling us about highlights of Charleston.

The open market was a fun place to shop, as well as Fresh Produce.  I was glad to find it since they didn't have the color skirt I wanted in Beaufort.  They had a larger selection and was able to find it in brown like I wanted.  It was a fabulous day and we would really like to come back again and stay longer next time!
