Campground #3 in Nashville - Poole Knob on Percy Priest lake. Oh my goodness! This is by far one of the best campsites that we have ever had. It's right up there with Gulf State Park & Skidaway! The sites are large, private & wooded. Too bad, that I became ill while staying here. We extended our stay and had a nice quiet place to rest. We booked this again for a couple days in September. I hope to be enjoying it more this next time.

Cedars of Lebanon State Park - Nashville!
We lived in the Nashville area for 27 years and passed the sign for this State Park hundreds of times. Since we could only stay at Longbranch for 2 weeks, we had to move somewhere and this was our choice. My goodness! Why haven't we stayed here before? This is a nice park with a nature center, picnic areas, playgrounds, pool and more. We booked it again for our upcoming stay in September.

No More Wisdom Teeth!
Since all of us have moved to Florida, Brilynn needed someone to care for her while she had 4 wisdom teeth pulled. We were happy to help her so she postponed the surgery for our visit. We stayed right with her at her apartment. She did great with the surgery and recovery went well because she did all the Dr. asked of her. Her roommate Cameron is a sweetie and we really enjoyed spending time with both of them. Although...I am sure that they were glad to get their place back to themselves after us "old" folks headed back to the campground. :-)

Chuy's with Brilynn!
Yay! We get to have lunch with Brilynn at our favorite Mexican Restaurant - Chuy's! It was so nice to spend catch up her with all that she is doing with her life. She keeps very busy with working full time at the Grove, going to college & staying active in church. She is such a blessing to us & we really cherished this time spent with her.

Nashville - Long Branch Camping again!
My, my, my! It's been at least 8 years since we camped here with our old Pop-Up camper. We have so many fond memories of camping here with Brilynn & Eli. They were so excited because we could stop on the Center Hill Dam & use the bathroom before settling in at the campground. It wasn't that the bathroom was anything special.....they could call it the dam bathroom & get away with it. We had tons of laughs watching them grow up during these yearly trips to this wonderful campground. Our boat was handy & nearby at Center Hill Marina. We always thought that we would one day build on our lot we own in Cove Hollow Bay but that dream is beginning to fade as our life's journey is constantly changing.
Still....it was surreal to stay here again with our 40 ft fifth wheel. We felt kind of silly staying here in a large unit like that but we were so surprised. Times are a changing & most people had large rigs. I think we only saw one pop-up in the entire park. More & more families are enjoying camping as their vacation. We really enjoyed our 2 week stay again in this park with all of memories around us.
Our favorite thing to do in the evening - a little Hand & Foot!
Best way to celebrate the 4th of July - Smithville National Fiddler's Jamboree!

Waynesville, NC
Dave & I visited the town of Waynesville years ago when camping in Gatlinburg with my sister & Daryl. This mountain town is so quaint with cute shops & eateries. I always wanted to return & spend more time. We were blessed to be able to visit again for a week between our stops in Charlotte & Nashville.
There is something very special about this area. It may be the mountain air or the quiet living but something is special here. We enjoyed our stay at Pride RV Resort & touring the area. I especially loved the downtown area. It didn't disappoint as it was just like I remembered some 10 or 15 years ago. My favorite place to stop for sure is The Mast General Store. This hometown favorite store has been here since 1883 & has everything for everybody! We scored some new colored Yeti cups with handles, PJs & some candy.
If we were ever to buy a summer home, I know that we would seriously look in Waynesville!
Pride RV Resort! It's a work in progress as they are adding patios to their lots.
Our beautiful view from our campsite. We spent our afternoons just reading & sitting by this beautiful stream.
Pretty nice view at a grocery store, isn't it?
Happy Father's Day to Dave! We absolutely loved visiting the Sierra Nevada Brewery! Great beers & the food was farm to table & so good!

Ebenezor
Time to visit my mom, Sista & family! It is always a challenge finding the right place to stay. After much research & leaning heavily on RVparkreviews.com, I know we found the right place. Nestled in trees on beautiful Lake Wylie is a quaint county park called Ebenezor.
I scheduled our 2 week stay in January but needed to arrive a little earlier than scheduled. My Sista Lori & family planned a week vacation in Myrtle Beach. We decided to come a little early to spend time with my mom and look after her, if needed. Good thing we did as mom complained of having an earache and headache which turned out to be shingles! We are so glad that we are here for her while she fights this awful infection.
Ebenezor has turned out to be the perfect place for us to stay while in the Charlotte, NC area. There are so many nice & friendly people here. Like us, they are visiting family in the area or locals just getting away for a few days. Everyone says that this is a "best kept secret" and they keep coming back to this park. We are pleased with our first 4 night site on #50.
Before her Shingles diagnosis, we
picked up mom for Memorial Day & brought her to our campsite. We had a great day
relaxing, catching up & enjoying a nice steak dinner cooked by Chef
Dave. It surely was a special day with mom & also remembering
those who have lost their lives in battle for the freedom we have today.
I look forward to spending time with our family & a little relaxing by the lake. It would be nice if we had a boat right now. I sure do miss our boat. Oh well.....no complaining Debbie. It's all good - our life on the road & thankful for finding Ebenezor County Park. :-)
Mom, Sista & I. Very rarely are we all together. What a special day!
A little boating & Blues Brothers with Mike & Linda Duda!
