Shuffleboard
anyone?? Who would have thought that we would even want to play
shuffleboard? Honestly, it was fun! OK...I will admit that there isn't
a lot of movement or exercise but it does take some skill and is good
if you enjoy some competition. We managed to play a couple of times
while at Topsail and really enjoyed it. As for actual exercise, I
brought some Yoga DVDs and we try to get in 20 minutes in the AM. I
have always enjoyed Rodney Yee's A.M. Yoga.
If you have never tried Yoga, I recommend starting out with this one in
the morning. I do it first thing before my coffee. It's just a good
way to get some stretching in before I start my day. It really prepares
me for all the biking and walking that I will do the rest of the day.
There is plenty to do in the Santa Rosa Beach/Destin, Florida area. The list is endless. We enjoyed taking a nice drive down 31A through Seaside, Watercolor and to Red Fish village. We HAD to stop and have ice cream at our favorite ice cream spot. This beach ice cream parlor is family owned and operated and do have the BEST ice cream - Blue Mountain Beach Creamery. They offer homemade ice cream, sorbet and yogurt, as well as the BEST waffle cones. This place is a definite stop for us, whenever we are in this area.
We
are not shopping a lot while on this trip. But, we managed to go to walmart to stock up on every day supplies. Plus, as new RV owners, we
found ourselves making a list of day to day items still needed. Walmart
isn't usually our first choice but when traveling, we are actually
excited to go to Walmart. Why is that?
